Whispering Pines Park (free admission) …from Facebook: Last week, we celebrated the completion of a new Storybook Trail at Whispering Pines Park with a ribbon cutting ceremony. This exciting addition is made possible through the Education Community Service Program of the GFWC Woman’s Club of Inverness. Storybook Trails bring the magic of reading outdoors, featuring pages from children’s books along a scenic path. The trail spans a .7-mile walk on the Red Trail, with pedestals placed along the path showcasing pages from stories that will be updated regularly, so each visit offers a new adventure to enjoy!
Thank you to the GFWC Woman’s Club of Inverness for bringing this project to life and their continued commitment to the betterment of our community.
We invite everyone to come explore, read, and make memories along the trail! And there is a splash pad and playground for the children.
