Spring 2025 Restaurant Update Citrus County FL

Had some great meals out this last month or so.  Katch 22 is now open!

DINNERS

Lecanto Katch 22   is  remodeled and now open.  Nice decor with more table seating than in the past.  Still a bit noisy on a crowded Friday night. Everyone enjoyed the food… We had a table of 10 and saw several friends dining that night…all happy.Crab cake appetizer, Salmon, Cauliflower, Lobster risotto, Red snapper (catch of day), Short ribs, Rib eye steak, and Filet.

Sauced Hog Hernando is crowded on a Friday.  The pulled pork, cole slaw, fries, and  beans are all delish and reasonably priced. 

Crystal River Bayside Kraft Kitchen.  On the water, it’s much quieter than the weekend crowd.   Dinner choices: Lobster, Chilean Sea Bass, corn chowder soup; Caesar salad, bacon wrapped bbq shrimp, Root salad with shrimp.  Food is excellent. 

Inverness Stumpknockers on the Square… We had not been there in years…

I  had stuffed flounder,  Art and Carl mahi-mahi and Nancy had the special salmon with lobster sauce. Food is good, nice service and comfy setting.  

Yankeetown’s Blackwater Grill …almost everyone in our group had grouper. This restaurant has about six different ways to fix the entrées. I had fried shrimp, and they brought me 20 fried shrimp!  Joan had a wedge salad, mussels and the curd cheese appetizer. Don had a good ribeye steak.

Lecanto Chopping Block.  I tried their premade  meatloaf… bake in oven.  It was very tasty.

Crystal River Vintage on Fifth.  We celebrated our wedding anniversary there. 

Cozy setting with good service.  We enjoyed our rack of lamb.

Ending party Cajun buffet was good and awesome desserts.  April Member Appreciation night had caved prime rib, scallops, mussels and shrimp stir fry, mashed potatoes, pineapple rice, broccoli, corn bread side, chicken (little dry) rolls, salad, dessert choices.  Delish!

LUNCHES

Homosassa Seagrass Waterfront Restaurant: Lunch with girlfriends.  Nice location on water. Our food choices: Clam chowder, chicken quesadilla, house signature salad and club sandwich and were enjoyed by all. 

 

 

Our Favorites: Hernando Jimmy T’s  NY Deli. Chicken noodle soup, turkey club and tuna melt.  Beverly Hills New England Cafe, tuna melt,  soups and cookies.
