This week I updated the “Who to Call” for home services list. I had Chat GPT reorganize it. (you’ll need glasses) but it is more compact now. download link at the end of this article.
I added Computer tech (The Upgrade: Computer Repair, Dryer Vent Cleaner (THura Clean), “Soft”Powerwashing, windows etc. (Amazing View !), Christmas Light Help (It’s a Wonderful Light) I also had Mrs.Grout restore our master bath tiled areas. (pictures below but looks better than the pics I took.)
What is the difference between soft and power washing?
Soft washing is best framed as a gentle, specialized exterior restoration treatment rather than an abrasive cleaning method. Where high-pressure washing relies on intense mechanical force to blast away surface dirt, soft washing treats the root cause of staining—biologic growth—without risking damage to the home. Key Positioning Angles: Safe for Sensitive Surfaces: High-pressure spray can strip paint, gouge wood, chip stucco, or tear through vinyl and window seals. Soft washing uses low pressure—about equivalent to a standard garden hose—making it safe for roofs, siding, screens, and delicate paintwork. Treats the Cause, Not Just the Symptom: Pressure washing merely blasts away surface buildup, leaving micro-spores behind. Soft washing uses biodegradable, specialized cleaning solutions that sanitize surfaces, killing mold, mildew, algae, and lichen at the root. Longer-Lasting Clean: Because soft washing eradicates the living microorganisms causing dark streaks and green algae, surfaces stay clean 3x to 5x longer than with standard pressure washing. Protects Home Equity & Warranties: High-pressure washing can instantly void asphalt shingle roof warranties and cause water intrusion behind siding. Soft washing is the industry-approved method for roof and delicate surface maintenance.
